Capture Nature's Purest Essence
Essential oils are present in plant material at very low concentrations โ typically 0.1% to 3% by weight โ making mechanical pressing impractical for most botanicals. Steam distillation is the gold-standard extraction method: steam passing through the plant material vaporises the volatile aromatic compounds, which are then condensed and separated from the water condensate (hydrosol) by gravity.
Our plants are available in full stainless steel (SS 304 / SS 316) for pharma and cosmetic-grade applications, or mild-steel construction for industrial-grade output. GMP-compliant designs with clean-in-place (CIP) systems are available for export-market producers.

Common Questions
Essential oil yield varies enormously by botanical. Approximate yields per 100 kg: Lavender: 0.5โ1.5 kg; Peppermint: 0.5โ1.2 kg; Eucalyptus: 1.5โ3.5 kg; Rose: 0.02โ0.05 kg; Cumin: 2.5โ4.5 kg. We provide crop-specific yield data during consultation.
In steam distillation, steam is passed through the plant material. In hydro-distillation, plant material is directly immersed in water. Hydro-distillation is gentler for delicate flowers; steam distillation is faster for leafy, woody materials.
Yes โ our batch plants are designed for multi-botanical operation. Between batches, the system is flushed and cleaned (CIP procedure takes 20โ40 minutes).
Cohobation returns hydrosol to the still for re-distillation, recovering dissolved oil fractions. For rose otto, cohobation can improve yield by 30โ40%.
